Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation’s mission is to use the sport of hockey to help educate young people on how to succeed in the game of life. The program is provided, at no cost, to both boys and girls who reside in inner city neighborhoods within the Cities of Philadelphia and nearby, Camden, NJ. The Foundation provides full equipment, ice time and experienced coaching.
What We Do
In addition to teaching children how to play hockey, the Foundation seeks to instill in our participants life-enhancing values such as teamwork, positive self-esteem, the importance of hard work, and respect for themselves and their teammates.
Why We Do It
A charitable and passionate man, Ed Snider is eternally grateful for the many ways that hockey had enriched his own life. Out of respect for the sport and the athletes who play it, he established the Foundation to allow hockey to touch the lives of children in the Philadelphia area that might not otherwise have that opportunity.
How You Can Help
Any way in which you can contribute will greatly help us introduce the joy of hockey to inner-city youth. For more information please contact us via email or call our main office at 215-952-5271.
